How to remove iron from hair

This is information I gathered from Stacie Madison who is also into healthier and holistic living. She is a cosmetologist too. She suggests to use a chelating, clarifying shampoo, or simple baking soda.

To use a simple baking soda blend:
Mix 1 part baking soda with 1 part water.
Apply and leave on for 3 minutes and rinse.
*Start with 1 cup baking soda with 1 cup water.

I would suggest using the (Reviive shampoo and conditioner) before or after the baking soda mix. It is a cleaner shampoo, since she is getting the “gunk” from the water and then more gunk from other brand shampoos.

Additional note from Stacie:
I’m from MN. And my parents live in Northern MN where there is a ton of iron in the water. My mom uses baking soda mix once a month and cleans her shower as well to get rid of the residue.
